Although a clear majority of electors support the Labour/Greens alliance this is the lowest level of combined support for the two governing parties since March 2020. Support for the Labour Party is unchanged at 44% in December.

Now 77% of Australians would get a vaccine for COVID-19 – down 10% points since April 2020

Of all Australians three-in-four (77%, down 10% points on April 2020) say they are willing to be vaccinated for Coronavirus if a new vaccine becomes publicly available, while a small 12% (up 5%) of Australians are not willing and 11% don’t know, according to a special Roy Morgan survey of an Australia-wide cross-section of 1,008 Australians aged 18+ conducted in November 2020.

Of all Australians 59% now think 2021 will be ‘better’ than 2020 – the highest positive view on the year ahead since 2009 following the Global Financial Crisis, a special Roy Morgan survey conducted in November finds. A further 17% say 2021 will be ‘the same’, an all-time record low of 10% say 2021 will be ‘worse’ than 2020 and 14% don’t know.
