Roy Morgan Research is Australia's largest Australian-owned and longest established market research company. Our client base continues to expand both in Australia and overseas, which has created an opportunity for an Account Director to join our Mobile, Internet and Technology Client Services teams in both Sydney and Melbourne.

We are looking for an experienced Account Director to manage the market research of Australia’s largest Telecommunication companies. 

The Mobile, Internet and Technology team is a newly formed team and as such offers an incredible opportunity for the right candidate to be part of a dynamic, growing and innovative team.   The focus of the team includes current industry issues such: as 3G/4G, handset evolution, pricing and bundling, mobile Internet, ubiquitous broadband connectivity and consumer experience.

Key responsibilities:

  • Work with stakeholders across the entire client organisation to understand their current/emerging business needs and market research requirements
  • Development of quality research and written reports
  • Communication of research findings to clients and industry groups
  • Development of press releases and blogs promoting the industry and Roy Morgan Research
  • Developing, maintaining and managing data models and monitoring instruments
  • Driving business development opportunities by translating research and analysis into consulting and custom research opportunities

The successful applicant will:

  • Have 4-6 years experience in consumer insights management and research
  • Have a proven track record in identifying research needs, developing and managing insight initiatives
  • Have a strong customer service focus with the ability to identify, define and communicate viable solution to clients business problems
  • Have experience in the Telecommunications industry is desirable but not essential
  • Possess great communication and presentation skills
  • Be a self-starter, motivated and have a dedicated attitude
  • Have excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail
  • Have an analytical mind, with strong numeracy skills
  • Have demonstrated strong leadership capabilities
  • Have knowledge of the workings of the Market Research Industry
  • Be customer focused and passionate about the success of your clients
  • Be willing to champion new ideas and techniques to give Roy  Morgan Research a competitive edge
  • Have a broad appreciation of commercial business knowledge
