Case History One

A well-known "blue chip" company was about to launch a new product in Sydney. The product had already been on the market for some months throughout the rest of Australia.

Using information from the Roy Morgan Database for areas where the new product had already been launched, MTM was able to produce a map showing the CDs in Sydney with the maximum potential for success.

Initial sales figures have proven MTM to be very accurate in its prediction of how the product would perform.

The Client was pleased - so much so that MTM is currently being used by the company to customise their point of sale and direct mail activity for specific areas.

Case History Two

A specialist bank planning to open a new branch asked us to verify a location they had been
considering.

MTM was used to produce three maps classifying every district in the city. The first map was of the Values segments that the bank was targetting and the second map showed the areas with the highest proportion of people with financial activities that the bank wanted to attract. The third map overlaid the previous two maps together.

This third map clearly showed that there were two prime sites which had a much higher potential for sucess than the original site. Further research indeed proved this.
