Newspaper Inserted Magazines: Readership of Weekend Australian Magazine, Stellar, Sunday Life, STM - Sunday Times Magazine and Sunday Times Guide increase
There were eight newspaper inserted magazines that managed to increase their readership over the last year despite broader industry trends including the Weekend Australia Magazine, Stellar, Sunday Life, STM - Sunday Times Magazine and Sunday Times Guide.
The biggest increase in readership was for the Binge TV Guide in Victoria for which readership increased 28.4 per cent to 384,000 followed by Stellar magazine now ready by 594,000 (up 24.8 per cent).
Also increasing strongly were the Binge TV Guide in NSW for which readership increased 16.8 per cent to 438,000 and Australia's second most widely read newspaper inserted magazine overall the Weekend Australian Magazine now read by 622,000, up 15.4 per cent on a year ago and two popular Western Australian inserts the STM - Sunday Times Magazine, up by 15.0 per cent to a readership of 207,000 and the Sunday Times Guide up by 8.8 per cent to a readership of 185,000.
The most widely read newspaper inserted magazine is again the Good Weekend read by 770,000, but down 6 per cent on a year ago ahead of the aforementioned Weekend Australian Magazine and Stellar - which have both closed the gap over the last year ahead of the fourth placed Domain with a readership of 465,000, but down a significant 28.0 per cent on a year ago following a COVID-19 lockdown related slump in the Australian property market during the earlier-mid parts of 2020 and fifth place Sunday Life with a readership of 464,000, up 6.4 per cent on a year ago.
